Nocturnes Électroniques by Matthieu Mantanus. Variations for Disklavier and Synthesizer on Frederic Chopin

Produced by JeansMusicLab, this concert is a live set on disklavier, inspired by Chopin's Nocturnes, where the electronic sound of  synthesizers and the console merges with the acoustic sound of the piano, thus creating a new and fascinating soundscape.

Matthieu Mantanus is a Swiss pianist, composer and conductor. A graduate of the Lausanne Conservatory, former associate director with Lorin Maazel of the Castleton Festival in the United States, he is co-artistic director of the Antonio Mormone International Prize in Milan. In 2013 he founded JeansMusicLab, a production facility with which to create innovative and multimedia shows. By mixing his classical background and repertoire with new sounds, instruments and rhythms, Mantanus breaks free from the preconceived ideas surrounding either classical or electronic music, exploring unknown sonic continents.
